11-08-21 "Kaniakapupu" King Kamehameha III's Summer Palace

Henry, Kyle, Ryan, Tien, Tina, and I visited "Kaniakapupu" this past Sunday.  It remains one of my favorite places to photograph.

"The ruins of Kaniakapupu lie in Luakaha, the forested upper portion of Nu‘uanu. It served as the summer retreat of Kamehameha III. Kani-a-ka-pupu ("the singing of the land shell") is considered by some to be the most important site in all Nu‘uanu."

Tien setting up his shot...despite the jacket he says he still got bitten.

Henry found something interesting..."don't slip."
