2014-07-24 Barbers Point Beach Park & Lighthouse

Earlier this year Brandon and I meet up at Barbers Point Beach Park & Lighthouse to shoot the sunset.  We were in for a treat, the waves were big enough to crash over the jetty making for some very dramatic shooting conditions.

We ran into Lance, Jacqueline and Carson as well.  I'll post the pictures I snuck in later.

Sunset didn't quite give us what we wanted, but with a little post processing help...voila!

2013-04-17 Lance Model Shoot Argee

I first met Argee on a January shoot in which I assisted Lance.  I like working with her, she's upbeat and just an overall fun person to be around.

2013-07-23 Chinatown

Visited with my mom's friend again.  After the visit we walked around Chinatown.

There is something about this part of Honolulu, it just oozes with pictures waiting to be taken.  I enjoy the people and businesses that play such and important part of each and every visit.

Dim Sum Mmmmmmmmh

"/ˈdɪmˈsʌm/ refers to a style of Chinese food prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Dim sum is also well known for the unique way it is served in some restaurants, whereby fully cooked and ready-to-serve dim sum dishes are carted around the restaurant for customers to choose their orders while seated at their tables.

Eating dim sum at a restaurant is usually known in Cantonese as going to "drink tea" (yum cha, 飲茶), as tea is typically served with dim sum."

2013-07-23 Ahipuu Street

Went to visit my mom's friend at the rest home.  Again, while my mother spent time with her friend I wandered the neighborhood.

The house I've been photographing on Ahipuu Street is scheduled for demolition so I try to take as many pictures as possible when I'm here.  The home is beautiful to the end and it sadden me to witness the final days.  I think I'll miss this when it's finally razed.
