"Lily Was Here" - Candy Dulfer / Dave Stewart

Here's a really nice tune by Candy Dulfer & Dave Stewart.

12-06-30 Sunrise Makai Research Pier/Koko Head Botanical Gardens

We had a pretty good size group of people show up to our sunrise at Makai Pier this morning.  So there was a lot more socializing than photo taking for me.  But I still got a few.

First though here's a shot, I took some time ago, of a dragon fly.

Now these are from this morning's sunrise.

I was happy to see that Dawn made it out and joined us till she had to go and pick up her daughter.

After a bit to eat at Koa Pancake House a group of us continued on to Koko Head Botanical Gardens.  The guard was kind enough to tell me that the Plumeria (common name Frangipani) was pretty much the only thing blooming.  So I never really got past the Plumeria trees.

12-06-25 A Second Look

Once again I've begun looking at older photographs in the belief that there were shots I did not really see when I first looked at them.  Here are the results.

12-06-23 Bikini BBQ & Model Shoot Magic Island

Yesterday I attended a workshop of sorts in working with and photographing models.  I met a bunch of really nice folks and just had a lot of fun.

The plan was to break us up into groups with an experienced photographer heading up each one.  Then the models were to be rotated between the groups.

When I initially arrived people were still milling about but one group was already starting to shoot.  I went to join this group since I knew most of the photographers but decided not to stay with them because there were already 6 shooters.

My group lead photographer and mentor for the day - Gilbert.  If you ever get a chance to shoot with him don't pass it up.  He'll have you laughing in no time.

She wasn't a model but this lovely young lady was kind enough to let me snap some pictures of her.

This lovely young lady and her "ride."  Dad and she were nice enough to let me take some pictures.
