Last evening I went to what is my favorite Obon Dance and the only other Lantern Floating Ceremony on the island...the Haleiwa Jodo Mission Obon Dance & Lantern Floating Ceremony. The first time I did this was last year and I immediately decided that for me it will be an annual event that I will not miss.

| I don't use a flash at these events so I have to push my ISO up high to be able to shoot handheld. There is a price I pay in image sharpness...not that my images are ever very sharp to begin with. But I am just happy that I can capture what I could see with my eyes. |
