2013-04-16 Joy, Mike & Robert's Oahu Adventure

Tuesday the 16th of April was an exciting day for me.  I would finally get to meet Joy, Mike & Robert.  Joy and Mike are Kubasaki High School Alumni, younger than me but our common connection was Kubasaki.

I had agreed to pick them up and take them on a quick tour of the eastern part of Oahu.  Our first stop was at Magic Island, where we got out and walked to the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor entrance.  From there we went through Waikiki on our way to the lookout overlooking Diamond Head Beach.  Robert took this picture of the three Kubasaki Alums.

Our next stop was the Lanai Lookout just past Hanauma Bay (unfortunately the bay was closed for cleaning on this particular day).  We proceeded down the coast line to the Halona Blow Hole Lookout and also checked out Eternity Beach aka Cockroach Cove.

The pineapple is an odd ball and is actually a picture, I had taken the day before, in my back yard.

Our next stop was the Koko Head Botanical Garden, where we found the Plumeria (aka Frangipani) to be in full bloom.

Joy gracing me with a smile.

Next stop was Waimanalo Beach Park aka Sherwood Forrest.

George having his picture taken on the beach.

Heading back to Honolulu we stopped at the Pali Lookout.

Got this sunset when we stopped at a highway lookout just before entering Honolulu.
