11-09-09 & 12 Kaka'ako Wall Mural 808Urban Prime & Estria

Earlier I posted some photo's I had taken of the wall mural created by Estria of the Estria Foundation and the local group of graffiti artists led by John Prime and collectively known as 808Urban. A very special "Mahalo" goes out to James Davis who was kind enough to give me a heads up and to pave the way for my welcome on scene.

I spent several hours with these artists over a two day period and was amazed at how they work independently yet together to create a single piece of art. James had previously mentioned that many of the artists specialize in one particular aspect of creativity...some are particularly adept at hands, others maybe eyes, and some specialize in lettering.
