2013-05-03 Hickam Flats Sunset

Earlier, Gerry had posted a return to Hickam Flats for sunset as a Facebook IWSSB photo group event. This past Friday we met at the NEX parking lot and car pooled on to Hickam / Pearl Harbor Joint Base and the flats at the entrance to Pearl Harbor.

I arrived early so I spent a little time taking pictures off the Radford Drive freeway overpass.

Yes, that is what rush our traffic looks like in "Paradise."

The day had been fairly dreary with the threat of rain all day long.  When we arrived at the flats the clouds began to part and the sunset began to show some promise...unfortunately the color never really materialized.  So we made do with what we got, essentially a lot of blue.
