2013-05-23 Kakaako Waterfront Park Fire Artists

We revisited the Fire Artists at their weekly Fire Jam practice session in Kaka'ako Waterfront Park.  Because they had a large event this past weekend, they used the entrance to the park, for their practice, opposite their normal location.

Some of the dancers use LED lights, attached to various devices, to help them warm up.  For others this is their preferred device to twirl.  Either way it remains a personal favorite to photograph.  

These exposures were captured over several seconds of the shutter remaining open, resulting in the trails.

This almost reminds me of an animal with 2 legs on the ground.  

In this exposure the artist used the entire 'stage' for their performance.
