North Shore With Don, Antonio and Richard

Antonio, Don, Richard and I took a drive up to the North Shore and down the Windward Oahu coastline on Monday the 11th.  Don wanted to share, with Antonio, the sights Richard and I had shown him on our previous North Shore jaunt.

Our first stop was at Laniakea Beach Park aka 'turtle beach', because of the turtles that frequently rest on the shore.  Unfortunately the water was too rough and the turtles were staying in the ocean, although they were easily visible and close to the shore.

Next we stopped at Waiamea Valley.

Cocoa pod...mmmmmm!

Yup the gekkos were out and pretty cooperative.

Our next stop was the Turtle Bay Resort.

For a price, if you are thirsty.

Yeah, go ahead and thumb your nose at me.

I'm confused, how can this be a stop sign?

From the resort we made it down to Malaekahana Beach Park

The north side beach is always a great photo spot.

She was moving along at a pretty good clip.

It was interesting, how the sunlight filtered through the leaves.

It was cloudy and overcast enough for me to capture this shot, that's the sun.

Part of the road leading to the next parking lot.

From there we moved to Laie Point.

This is from the parking area.  The tree to the right was bare in many places, but it also had many leaves in other areas.
